Q. Does the enterprise management features of GWAVA4 work between the Netware and Linux flavors within the same enterprise?
Yes! GWAVA 4's management is browser based and can be access from Firefox or IE and since you can setup all GWAVA 4 servers to communicate in the same "tree" you can administer any server from a single instance of the admin console tool.

Q. can GWAVA 4 be used at the same time as Guinevere
Great question, you could have both working within the same GroupWise system and can continue to do so if you wish, however one thing is that if you want to create a GWIA scanner in GWAVA 4 then you don't require Guinevere any longer. In fact do not use both to scan the GWIA as there may be several problems and lost mail.

Q. Do you have to have GroupWise 7 to run GWAVA 4?
No GWAVA 4 supports GW5.5 and above, please see http://www.gwava.com/products/gwava4_sysreqs.php for the full list.

Q. If we're under maintenance, do we have to pay to get GWAVA 4?
Great question! If your GWAVA 3 maintenance is upto date then you can go to https://licenses.gwava.com/ and use your GWAVA 3 key to obtain your GWAVA 4 license file!

Q. If Setup GWAVA4 incorrectly, now abending the server, how to unistall, so I can reinstall?
If you'd like to reinstall, then http://support.gwava.com/wiki/index.php/Uninstalling_GWAVA (for Linux) or for a Netware uninstall type: gwavadn, edit the autoexec.ncf and remove the lines gwava added, restore your original GWIA config file (before creating the GWIA scanner in sys:system\gwia.cfg) restart your gwia and delete the volume:\opt\beginfinite\gwava directory. I suggest restarting your server at your earliest convenience as well.

Q. any consoleone or imanager plugins?
GWAVA 4 was deigned to be a stand alaone tool there are no plug ins required.

Q. Can users look at and release Digest manually without waiting for set time
Any tiem a user wants to release mail the can log in to the QMS web tool at http://:49285 and view/release items there.

Q. Will users be able to add email addresses to the white list?
Presently We suggest that you setup the BCC function in the QMS so that when a main is release a cc is sent to an admin mailbox where it can be verified and entered into the SMARTBLOCKER AUTO LEARNING FEATURE.

Q. Does fingerprinting work better than 3.6. I had to disable because of so many false hits
I am unaware of any problems with fingerprinting in GWAVA 3, GWAVA 4 fingerprinting is very granular and to confiure properly please see: http://support.gwava.com/wiki/index.php/Fingerprinting

Q. How will installing GWAVA4 impact my WASP?
Not at all, both work great together and look for a new version of WASP in the near future to integrate into the GWAVA 4 Console!

Q. Can you achive mail as this was an option in GWAVA 3
GWAVA 4 is designed as an Enterprise level ANTI-SPAM ANTI-VIRUS tool for GroupWise, for archiving, I highly suggest you look at our RETAIN product which deals specifically with Archival of GroupWise.

Q. Do users only see THEIR email in the digest screen?
As a user, the system is set up only to allow them to see only their blocked email.

Q. A Gwava tech told me about the 4 state locking in the management console and it really helped my system out. Not sure if you want to mention that or not.

Yes you can configure QMS not to allow to release messages, this is inthe gruop rights section.

Q. Do you need to install GWAVA 4 on the same server as your GWIA and MTA's?
Yes, you need to install GWAVA on your GRoupWise Server(s).

Q. I didn't see the "Score RBL" option in the GWAVA4 config screens in the webinar. Is it still an option?
This option has changed in GWAVA 4. Because we can get much more granular with GWAVA 4 you can block or not and quarantine just at the RBL level and with this you can see why it was blocked.
